I've used this for close to 2 years on gigs and have used the xlr out for recording.I think it is a great amp and I'm able to get 'my' sound with it-the EQ on channel 2 is very flexible.I don't say that lightly because I've been through a lot of amps.I've never used an ext. cab with it,but the band I play in is not excessively loud.It is quite heavy and might be a problem if you have to carry it alone up stairs.It's been problem free and is very solidly built.I recently used it for an outdoor gig and was satisfied with the results.I think it is probably one of the best combos you can buy and Eden's customer service is good.It is not cheap to buy a new one but I was able to get a used one for a good price.
