This is the best bass I have ever played. Period. The low-z pickup makes this baby dead quiet. It has an internal transformer tapped by the Varitone switch, which varies from low vol/max tone up to high vol/narrow tone. the high setting is downright scary! It reminds me of Jack's Starfire-thru-Versatone sounds from days of yore...
