the bass that I have is of medium weight. I hate to say this but I will be using my 1975 p bass for my main instrument and keeping this one just for braggin rights. Getting adjusted to playing over the pick-ups is a little difficult for me opposed to the p bass. Sorry, I'm comparing it to another bass. However, this is the bass for anyone who wants punch and wants to be able to cut through the mix. The staggered humbuckers are positioned to intimidate majority of the higher end basses on the market. You will get nothing but power and satisfaction in the drivers seat of this 1997 stingray.
and remember; "If you can't run with the big dogs , stay on the porch."
