This bass is medium heavy but when strapped to you pretty tight you won't focus long on the pounds. This bass has great low string action! I love to keep the action as low as possible without buzzing. I like the weight and how the bass has aged naturally. The pick-ups are pretty clear with lows or highs with these EMG's. I don't crave these pick-ups but I guess I'll leave them in. The neck reminds you of a baseball bat. This is a great players bass and not much for saving in a collection.
