I first added a Leo Quan Badass Bass Bridge II, the standard bridge was crappy and the E and G saddles would move around.
Next I slapped on a mid and bridge Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack P/Us. This pickups are really great, I play with the mid pickup backed of and noe there is no hum, just great vintage sound. The stack models are worth the extra $25 each, by far.
And last I put a thumb rest above the E string between the neck and the mid pickup (Geddy doesn't have one, but I really liked them.)
before the mods it was a decent bass, average tone, hummed a lot, crappy bridge, but a great beginner bass. After the mods this thing kicks any American made models ass, it sounds that good.
