ALL Bass Players need a Precision ! I have had my share. Have "eyeballed" the 57's for years. Classic quality materials = Classic tone. Right ! This is a Great sounding/playing bass ! Very comfortable C-neck ( wide & flat w/thin profile). Warm, Organic tone. Dead-on reissue has the unusual A-pole humbucker. The magnets are protruding at the A string. Original type, cloth wiring. Original type Nitro finish lets the tone come thru the body. Super reasonent acoustically ,the hallmark of the best TONE machines; this bass is hard to beat. Solid construction, excellent finish. Best strung w/nickel-plated roundwounds.Only thing missing were the chrome covers, but you don't need them. Dig the tweed case. For almost all styles, except :some jazz & the bright funk. The tone is really in your hands anyway. Buy it used & you can have a Jazz too.
