The two most important factors I was looking for were tone and comfort. I mean you could have the neatest looking bass in existance and it could sound like ass, or you could have the holy grail of tone and it weighs more than Fat Albert. Since I am small-statured guy (5'6", 135 lbs), I needed as much tone as I could get from a bass that I could use for 5 sets.
This one came into my store. I played it, fell in love with it. And it weighs almost a pound and a half less then the one I almost bought at Manny's in NYC. Through a complex trade I was able to get this one and a VERY GREAT amp for a couple of my old basses.
I just wish Fender would make their basses with 21 frets!!
