Let me tell you, a precision was the last bass I thought I would ever buy. I have 2 jazzes (a 72 and a fretless) and have always considered myself a jazz enthusiest. I was planning on buying either a warwick or a spector when I saw it in Sphaybo's music store.

This was the most beutiful bass i'd ever seen but I didn't want to get my hopes up becuase I hate P-bass necks. Not only did it play great though, it sounded great too!! I got every sound possible, from a ghram-aproved slap, to a JPJ dazed and confused, or a am radio sound. The neck is alot thinner then a standard p but not as thin as my jazzes. but the satin finish on the neck is smooth and quick.

The bass is beutiful, Fender realy payed attention to detail on this one, The translucent finish is complemented by a premium ash (which i think adds the snap to the tone). The dots on the fretboard are abolone, which look incredible (after I played someone asked me what they were becuase they kept grabbing their eyes.) The Fender and precision logo's are in chrome letering and the tuners are downsized and much improved since my 72. The most impressive part of this bass though is the fretwork. Its acutally beutiful. the frets look like they are chrome plated but sphaybo assures me that its just fenders new polishing tecnique.

If you have an extra 930 dollars around and want a bass thats sounds and plays better then a tobias, this is the bass for you. Just try one. go ahead.....
