This bass is just balls out the &)*(&%&*^*. How many times have we heard players (high and low) talk about getting a good Fender sound on their custom $4500 bass. Much of the rationale for this is the number of recordings made with the Fender sound. This bass gets the Fender sound because it IS a Fender. It is growly when needed, ballsy when needed, and a "funk machine" when needed. It is definitely a BASS, not a version of one.
The bass is not as fluid as the Peavey Cirrus or as thunderous as a Pedulla ThunderBolt. However, your engineer will know how to record it, the sound man will know how to put it in the mix, and you will get very few complaints from other bassist about the sound of your bass. NO, I do not work for Fender and if I could afford a Sadowsky would buy one of them in a NY minute (think about it), I just love the round sound of bass and Fender delivers it 99.9% percent of the time.
