Offering tons of tonal variations to any serious bassist, the American Deluxe P-Bass V features an asymmetrical 5-bolt-on neck with rolled edges and detailed nut/fret work, a new 18V power supply for driving the 3-band active EQ and a 4+1 tuner layout with 2 Hip-shot string retainers. It also boasts a premium alder or ash body, pau ferro or maple fingerboards with abalone dots and a new Deluxe bridge with nickel-plated brass saddles that allows two different methods of string mounting: string-through-body and top-load. The Lawrence bass humbucker, placed in the rear position, enhances any string response and, combined with the classic split-coil neck pickup, they increases the punch and the sustain, producing a wide spectrum of tones, for the classic P-Bass thump to the traditional J-Bass growl! The new 4+1 tuner config makes the low-B string tighter and punchier, by improving the string balance. Fretless and lefthanded versions are currently unavailable, tough luck for fretless and southpaw players.
