Over the past few years I've been lucky enough to have played (and owned) some nice bass guitars. Some pretty ordinary ones too but we won't go there... I finally thought to myself that it would be "nice" to get my grubby little mits on a real bass - something with a bit of history instead of these korean/indo made machines; the U.S. fender waz the obvious answer. It even smells different!! But I wanted something with some serious grunt - active electronics. WOOHOO for the deluxe!! This bass is bloody unbelievable!! That big fretted telephone pole is extremely easy to play (surprised me some) due to the rolled fingerboard. The 18 volt active E.Q. is able to pull any sound. I've found best results by minimal tweaking. Not winding the knobs out. Kicking myself for wasting my hard earned cash on anything other. Well done fender - AGAIN!!
