I've found the bass I was looking for all of these years. I had a '78 Jazz years ago, but sold it (big mistake) and went in search of an active bass sound. Unhappy with the unorganic "active" sound, I was shopping for another passive American Jazz when I saw the sale price on this Deluxe.

The bass played smooth with the stock set-up/strings, and it only gets better after tweeking the set up to your personal taste. The through the body bridge is solid. The nut and fretwork are perfect. And the finish is flawless (Ash wood grain vaneer showing through)

Looking for the classic Jazz Bass growl? This bass can do it. Looking to pump some massive low end. This bass can do it. Looking to cut right through the mix. This bass can do it (love that mid boost/cut).
