At this point, this is my main bass. If you love that j-bass
sound (and I do), this bass nails it perfectly. It has more
j-bass growl than many of the original j-basses from the 70's.
This bass is a replica of the 73 ? j-bass that Geddy Lee owns.
There's not much to say, really--it's a great sounding early
70's style jazz bass, at a fraction of the cost of a real one.
It is put together very well (better than most original 70's
basses). It plays like a dream and comes stock with a leo quann
badass II bridge (which, no doubt adds to its clarity and
sustain).
My "fleet" of basses currently includes a roscoe beck 5-string,
modulus flea bass, california p-bass, and a '51 p-bass. They are
all great basses, but the geddy lee jazz is the one I reach for
most often as I leave for a gig.
