This my friends is an astounding bass! The D-shot tuner was the reason I picked it up but I am continually amazed at the versatility of the Bass. The 2 active pickups cover both the slap pop range and the jazz low end range EQ's with a healthy 25db signal boost. The 3 passive settings have been invaluable in the studio and also cover the average range of EQ.
The tuner is extremely accurate and holds tuning rock solid. I've played 4 nights in a row with out having to adjust the tuning wheels. Amazing! Everything is adjustable on this bass. Action can be completly adjusted depending on your tastes. The D-Shot tuner is particularly helpful as it allows you to switch a low D without any hassle and you don't have to do any transposing as the tuning remans the same up and down the neck. I use this bass exclusivly for live Gigs and only switch occasionally in the studio with my Fender. Get the right strings from Factor.
If you get a chance to check out the FACTOR Basses rare pieces of high quality workmanship, do. Philip Kubicki is really cool to talk with if you have problems. Check out Factor at www.kubicki.com for details. I highly recommend this bass for the working and studio musician.
