This is an extremely well constructed amp, and it's fairly heavy. The looks are first class. The amp has the usual Marshall look, but the black cover on the front actually hides ventilation holes so that the fan can draw the air across the valves. This gives a distinct look when switched on, you can see the beautiful valves shining through. Very sexy!

The sound is excellent, if you like a traditional sound and don't like to play with lots of EQ. From switching on the sound is classic, very powerful you can feel it. The sound I would describe as full and rounded with no gaps. If you up the gain, the amp will begin to come into its own - the sound produced can only be described as - Awesome - I like a sound that seems as though it's about to go over the edge, not full of distortion but firm with a pwerful tight punch.

This amp is not sloppy at all, I use it either with one 4x12 or 2 4x12s. I have used other hybrids and transistor amps and none of them can perform like this one does. As I said to our drummer and guitarist, The Marshall has Landed....This one Rocks!
