Yes Peavey! This is the best bass I've played to date. It took me a
few sessions with it to get past the peavey part, but I never made a
better decision buying this one. It is a beautiful instrument along
with the most outstanding playability I've ever seen in any price
range. The tung oil on the neck, combined with the sheer slimness of
the neck allow me to play all over the place. There is absolutly no
neck heel. Also, this is the lightest bass I've ever seen. This
usually means neckdive, but not on this one. There is no preamp
noise, no 60 cycle hum, no interference noise, no pickup noise, no
fret buzz, no dead spots, only massive tones. I get any sound I ever
need out of this bass, and I play it all. The one thing I dislike
(very minutely) is the mid control, which sounds very unnatural. This
is alright though, since it has an accentuated midrange in the first
place, and the cut is fine. Also, though mine is a fine example of an
instrument(aside from minor finish flaws around the neck), the recent
production run is producing crap. Tone is usually there, but the
construction is very inconsistent. I would not recommend buying one
without playing it first. Once you do get your hands on a beauty, you
won't want to take them off. An amazing value.
