Hi all, I purchased this Peavey Dyna-bass 5-string used. The strings that were on it, looked like they hadn't been changed in years, and it looked like it needed to be 'specked' out. Already owning a 4-string Dyna-bass, and wanting to go 5-string, I decided to take a chance on this one. This is all I did....I got it home, changed strings, (which helped enormously), then shipped it off to Peavey in MS, to have it specked out from the factory. Say what you want about Peavey products, but they stand behind their stuff 110%! They called me when they received it, then called me with what needed done, (with prices quoted), then called me when they shipped it out. Now, you can't touch that with any other Co. And the price?..(they re-aligned the neck, replaced the circuit-board, touched up finish, set bridge, re-fretted) all for less then $100 dollars! (including shipping!). Top that, Fender! And, this guitar plays & sounds fantastic. The only thing I have against Peavey, is when they do come out with a real nice product, they quit producing it in a couple years. Peavey quit making Dyna-basses in the early '90's. But, they still have the service like no one else in this business. I wish they still made these models...I'd certainly buy a new one.
