Before buying the Peavey Cirrus I owned a Fender Jazz bass for two years. Went to the store and came out with a G&L 25000, but returned with in a week. Instead I went home with a used Alembic. And again I was back at the store in a couple of days!!

Then I saw a beatiful looking bass, brand "Peavey" I could not believe my eyes!! I played it, loved the sound, the look, the fininishes, I had to give him a try also.So far, it is the best bass I have ever owned (Ibanez, Yamaha, G&L, Alembic)

There are some minor things (like all basses have, all) that I dislike some. But that depends on taste. Overall, good slapping and finger sound!!

I currently run the cirrus through a Trace Elliot amp and cabinet and the combination is Killer!! For $800 dls, I think I made a wise choice as far as bass playing is concern!!.
