I have been playing "Other" Basses for a long time. Just bought this one recently. I think Peavey has the others beat for price, playability and sound. It is well balanced, light enough not to strain an old man's back. The tuners probably will be replaced as they seem kinda loose, however the don't get out of tune yet. For the price you can't beat this one. I changed the Strings to DR Sunbeam's, 45-130 and now you should hear it. Greater Sound. Highly recommended. I play through a SWR Super Red Head and now you talk about punch and smoothness..I finally found, after looking a long time, the combination I like. Bass, Strings, and Amp...BTW- I play Bass in a Southern Gospel Quartet and this is really great for any Concert we have. Thanks for listening to me, Jim
