This bass is, as far as I am concerned, one of a kind, I have not found anyone who has either seen or heard of another like it. It is similar to a T-40, which I actually traded in for this bass. The T-40 was too weird, the pickup locations sucked(I like the P-bass, alot) and I thought the tones were numerous but weak, plus it had a wussy jazz bass like neck, which are for pussies who can't handle handle a P-bass. Anyway, it is a really cool bass, has one good sound, kind of like a P-bass, but a little thinner, with more mids, the pickup actually is mounted so the e string end is a little more toward the neck and the g string end is toward the bridge. It doesn't have much of a cutaway, and the body is kind of big, so it takes a little getting use to, but this bass is what I like to think of as classic Peavey, or what it should be, cheap, made fairly well, with a twist of buttrock to keep it white trash. One major complaint, there was a serious gap on the top (e string) side of the neck joint, maybe an 1/8 inch, but it can be shimmed, the thing is butt ugly anyway.
