This is a great bass for the price that I payed for it. The construction is well done. I initially was dissapointed with the sound quality: had a duller sound with touchy midrange adjustment. I restrung it with some ghs bass boomers and it sounds great now. My only beefs with the bass are that the truss rod was hard to adjust without having the peavey tool and I wish that the fretts were a bit bigger. Different bass tones all sound good whether it be snappy funk playing, fingerstyle rock, picking, or whatever. Active electronics are quiet enough also.
