Flawless craftsmanship. The fretless fingerboard has inlaid fretlines with a hard, clear finish. This results in a clear, "singing" tone. The bass is very well balanced and comfortable. The NTMB option gives a very wide range of tone possibilities. One criticism: the J pickup's output is at a noticeably lower level than the P's. It is my understanding that this has been improved on the newer models. I highly recommend this instrument.
