This is hands down the best sounding bass I've ever heard. The tone is bright, punchy, and deep. Without the thunderguts circuit, the bass sounds *good*. The basic tone is very clear and rich. Engaging the circuit boosts the low mids and gives it the PERFECT tone to use in a band. The strings sound very even, the B string is very taught and foccused. The action can be set medium high or very low, and all the adjustments work well (VERY powerful truss rod). I'd reccomend this bass to anyone-any style of music, any desired tone. It doesn't get any better than this. The slap tones are very impressive, and the bridge pickup gives a great "Jaco" finger tone. P-bass tones can even be coaxed out of the neck pickup using the low and high cut options.
