This is my first high-end bass, and will be my last. I tried many different kind of basses before this one including: Ibanez 1305, Washburn, Zon Sonus. Fender Jazz 5, Alembic and Music Man. It came down to the particular Pedulla I bought, and another Pedulla (ET5) with a Zebra Wood top. The maple top just sounded brighter, although I fell in love with the feel of the satin finish on the ET5. The neck is very fast, except for humid conditions when my hand seems to "stick" a little. Some day I'll bring it back to Pedulla and have them remove the polyester coating from the back of the neck and replace it with the oil/urethane mix finish found on the ET's. I'm playing this through an Eden WT300 head and 2 each Eden 2x10 cabs. Sounds real nice. Once you play one, you'll want one. The only other bass I'll ever need is another Pedulla to keep this one company!
