I have had the Thunderbass for four years, it was awesome and I love it. Thus, when I wanted a fretless, I decided I wanted the exact same bass. For a different look, I chose bubinga for the top of the fretless. I also opted for the Diamakote finish normally put on Pedulla's Buzz bass series, and the add on electronics package. The Diamakote was worth the price, since the bass sounds so good with everything running flat, I shouls have saved the money on the extra electronics. I love the Thunderbuzz as well, BUT I had some problems with Peduall that are still not resolved. I wrote a very detailed letter about how I wanted the bass, which included string gauges of 100-85-60-45-30-22. I called Mike Pedulla and he said he didn't have a 22, but would use two 30's up top. The bass came set up 128-100-85-60-45-30. So the nut was cut way too big for the string gauges I desire to use. After many phone call by myself and my dealer, Mike agreed to send a new uncut nut, and the truss rod wrench I never received, and the three additional knobs I ordered for my original Thunderbass. To date, I have not seen anything arrive as promised. My ealer then said Pedulla says the reason they sent the bass with the wrong strings on it was, "they don't do custom string set ups". Well then why did they agree to it on the phone before I ordered it, and again when I called to see how the bass was progressing? So, while I love the bass, I am not happy with the customer service to date at all.
