I usually play with one SWR Goliath 4x10 cabinet and I run the power amp bridged to get the full power of the amp and to have plenty of headroom. This amp is really powerful. It gives me a loud full sound. If I am performing with 4 pieces or 8 pieces it always gives me enough power to have plenty of bottom. I have always been parital to QSC power amps because I really like the way they sound. I bought this amp to replace my old QSC MX1500 that I purchased about 14 years ago. I never had any problems with that amp and I am keeping it as a back up. I feel that this amp's best feature is its headroom. I have never had the amp clip during any performances. The SWR cabinets can handle 700 watts so I turn the power amps volume up about 3/4 and that is more that enough power. Since I play a 6 string Smith I use the compressor to tame the peaks.
The amp has a built in limiter to protect your speakers but the only problem is it has a high threshold. The filter feature is great but it requires time for the user to experiment. You will need to play around with the features to get the optimal settings. The other great thing about this amp is the price! This amp is a great value for the power ratings. If anyone is looking for a good high power low cost power amp, give this one a try.
