This is an ok tuner, that I got when I bought my first bass. It works OK. It is automatic so you can go from string to string without pressing any buttons. I had never owned/used any other tuners before I got this one but not much later I tried my friend's Korg GA-20 or whatever they call it and it is a zillion times better. I have since replaced this Quik Tune with a Korg CA-20 chromatic tuner, which is a zillion times better than the GA-20. However, this Quik Tune has both In and Out jacks so you can place it in-line and not have to unplug anything. That is nice. It doesn't eat batteries either.

Major drawback of the Quik Tune is that you can't tell it to drop steps so you can drop-tune. Although it's automatic it is slow to respond, and sometimes will tell you a string you just tuned is already off. They have replaced this model with the new silver model, with the funky shaped display and big purple button for a pitchpipe function. I tried one of those, and it is an improvement over the old QT's but not as good as a Korg.

If you have never owned a tuner, and want one, don't waste your money on a 'guitar/bass' tuner... buy a chromatic so you can tune to any key.
