| Manufacturer | Quik Tune |
| Model | ?? 'Auto Guitar/Bass Tuner' - the old black kind |
| Price | I paid $20 but you can find 'em for 10 |
| Item owned for | 2-5 years |
| Weight | few ounces, i guess |
| Size | 4" x 2 1/2" x 1" |
| Display | LCD 'Fake Needle' with 3 LEDs |
| Other | uses 9v battery |
Major drawback of the Quik Tune is that you can't tell it to drop steps so you can drop-tune. Although it's automatic it is slow to respond, and sometimes will tell you a string you just tuned is already off. They have replaced this model with the new silver model, with the funky shaped display and big purple button for a pitchpipe function. I tried one of those, and it is an improvement over the old QT's but not as good as a Korg.
If you have never owned a tuner, and want one, don't waste your money on a 'guitar/bass' tuner... buy a chromatic so you can tune to any key.
