I have only a few complaints (again I have to reiterate how much I love it). The frets are soft so they are (again) in need of refretting. Because of the beautiful binding and the laquered fingerboard, its uncommonly expensive to refret. crap. The Ric pick-up can \"overload\" if you it has too much input. I play with a pick and rather aggressively so I often overload it leading to some weird distortion (which sometimes I like) and an unfortunate \"popping\" sound (which I don\'t). The low end is so strong that I actually am having some problems overloading my amplifier. The tone is not consistent, at least not the way I play.
Others complain about the electronics, but I haven\'t really had a problem with them. I\'ve had them cleaned and tuned up once, but this guitar is 25 years old, so I expect it.
The neck is sensitive. It moves with the humidity and tempature probably more than others. This also isn\'t a complaint, it just requires perhaps a little more attention. But, the size and shape is so comfortable. It\'s a little less fat than 4003 necks and thus more comfortable.
I love this guitar. I will have it as long as I can still play it.
