Fantastic bass! I alway said that if I bought another Rick, it would be this model and here it is. Beautiful color and sound. Chris Squire definitely makes his bass sound his way, but you can see where he gets his various tones from.
The one piece of advice i can offer is: BEWARE of the string guage!!!! The factory places Rickenbacker strings with an odd guage: 45, 55, 75, 105. I tried to put a set of Rotosounds on it and the D and A string would not fit in the nut!! A pair of ROTOSOUNDS on a Chris Squire bass! Who'd figure... Right? They do cover that in the handbook that comes with the bass, but I found it strange when it came time for putting on new ones.
I plan on getting those slots filed so they can hold my medium guage requirements.
Other than that, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
