I purchased my Roscoe through the dealer in Louisville, but was able
to visit the Roscoe factory to take delivery. Kieth Roscoe personally
took me on a tour and showed me the production process. The neck is
hand-carved, which allows for very slight differences in feel from
bass to bass. Mine feels slightly different from the ones I played in
Louisville, but make no mistake, it is very very comfortable and fast.
Only two complaints regarding construction: The fret kerf cuts are not
fully filled which shows the kerf (I filled mine w/some color putty)
and the G and D strings are ever so slightly close @ the nut as
compared to the spacing of the other strings. Niether complaint has
adversly affected my love of the LG3005. Everything else about this
bass is top-notch. Kieth Roscoe used hipshot tuners as standard issue
and my bass has an ABM bridge that has held it's adjustments without
any problems. The hardware is black as standard issue. The four
control pots work and feel great. An A-1 instrument.
