Sadowsky's are the best instrument you will ever come across. I hear people say "Why would you spend 3 grand on a bolt-on JB?", well if you've played one, you'll know. Yeah, there's some used stuff around, which I didn't care for, but it's really important to play one set up to your preference by Roger. Mine is a standard 4 string, cherry burst finished quilted maple on ash, curly maple fingerboard, black hardware, Sadowsky pickups and the world famous Sadowsky preamp. Fit and finish on this bass is just amazing. Fretwork is the best in the world. The bass itself has awesome acoustic resonance. You can tell that this bass is "first class" before plugging it in. The preamp is nothing like any other preamp. It's "Perfect". Bass adds punch, never muddy or boomy. Treble adds transparancy and clarity, never edgy or harsh. Well, you'll just have to play it for yourself, but if you're a Fender kinda bass player, Sadowsky is the ultimate. Roger himself responded to all my questions and transactions. He really is a good guy to work with!!!
