i am a professional bassist who has toured w/ this bass, and played it extensively on a daily basis for around 1 year. It is the fullest, roundest and most fundamental yet cutting bass tone i've ever heard. I retired my 63 precision for this instrument. That should say it all. I feel and sound like a substantially better bassist with this thing. There is truly nothing around that touches the basses that Roger Sadowsky and his team make. The only thing i need in my collection other than Sadowsky basses are my pre-CBS fenders. Try one and you'll see why everybody swears by these. It is as perfect as a bass can be. I have played thousand of custom, vintage and modern instruments........even if this wasn't my bag, i'd see the substantial difference in the amount of work and love that went into this bass.
