I have a G&L LB-100 bass. Basically same construction as a 70's Fender P-bass. I replaced the stock pick-up in my new G&L (mostly because it was hot and feeding back) with the Antiquity P-Bass pick-up. And LOVE it. it sounds SO GOOD. my first idea was to put in the quarter pounder, but my incredibly knowledgable NYC guitar tech/repair guy said he's taken more of those out of basses than put in. he said you can't get them far enough away from the strings because they are so hot. Well, the Antiquity sounds amazing. beautiful clarity, strong deep low end, nicely defined highs and good mids. good strong signal. and i have to admit, it does look really cool. a little expensive, totally worth it. you can't go wrong.
