These preamp tubes are by far the best I have encounter. I never knew how big of a difference changing tubes can affect the tone and performance of your tube to hybrid amps. I've been using Sovtek 12ax7wa and 12ax7wb for 8 years...these tubes sound decent and usually will do the job. The WA has a little higher gain than the WB but overall I couldn't tell the difference in their sound except it wasn't as musical as the LPS.

When I try out the new Sovtek LPS tubes, I quickly notice how quiet my amp (Ampeg SVT III not the Pro) got from the usual light hissing! Another thing my amp sounded so much smoother than ever before. it really sound amazingly warm and rich. The LPS has sweet highs and blossoming lows plus a little more gain than I got from my previous tubes.

It also fixed my main problem that i've had for a number of years but didn't know solved .....it completely stop the popping and thumping from my amp whenever i turn it on. It's the best preamp tube on the market and the extra bucks is well worth it!!!!
