Construction: *Seemingly solid outer construction-Aluminum chassis with steel faceplate. As for the interior components, I have never had the guts (or stupidity) to find out. Not too heavy, but is awkward to carry if not mounted in a rack.

* I am responsible enough that the sturdiness of the construction of the piece has never truly been tested.

Sound: What immediately struck me about this amplifier was it's incredibly accurate response. (Freq. resp. 20Hz-40kHz) This is extremely important if you make extensive use of precision playing techniques. "What you play is what you get"-strikingly so-which is really the most that can be said for any power amplifier.

Power: Designed specifically for use as a bass power amplifier, the power output is more appropriate for what most bassists require. The extreme headroom of the amp allows for extended emphasis of lower frequencies without power amp clipping. You don't have to alter your tone for the sake of amplifier performance, maintenance, or output-which may seem irrelevant, but is a major hinderance with amps of lower outputs. (Not to mention: Most speaker damage is caused by power amp clipping and peaking-not overloads of healthy power.) Even at EXTREME volumes, the amplifier performs wonderfully- with a sick amount of available power in reserve. The power 750 uses only one power amp-so you can run two cabinets-but stereo options are eliminated as the power comes from a mono source. The amp seems unreasonably loud for 750 watts @ 4 ohms- there's just something about the fact that it is such a powerful mono amplifier. Stereo amplifiers using two seperate power amplifiers in bridged mode do not have the output of this mono beast of an amp. I use a Carvin R1000 rated at 1000 watts @ 4 ohms and an SWR Mo' bass rated at 900 watts @ 4 ohms, and neither compare to what the Power 750 is capable.

Value: The ideal power amp choice for bass. With incredible frequncy response, signal to noise ratio, low distortion, extreme output potential, and reliable/consistent performance, this amp is tough to beat. They're not too expensive if you do some shopping around and find a good deal.
