I was looking for an acoustic bass to jam with without an amp. Wow, did I pick a great bass. Considering the bridge cannot be adjusted, it has fairly low action. The acoustic sound is great, and fairly loud. With the EQ bypass, it is soft through an amp and the sound is still preserved. With the active electronics turned on, the bass is much louder and you can tweak your sound tremendously. It sounds more artificial but has a great sound. I love this bass, and play it often. I don't like the non-adjustable bridge, but thats about it. It takes some getting used to due to the wide body of the bass, but its pretty easy to get the hand of it. Overall, great job Takamine on building such a great bass.
