Well folks, I play bass for a living on the road with a major country music act and this little device has been the single most important piece of gear I have puchased since beginning my career some 18 years ago. In the act I play for , we do not have the luxury of on- stage amps due to a very clean stage look that the STAR demands. This also leaves more room for props etc. I hated this concept until purchasing the little bass driver. I love it so much that I sold ALL of my other amps and racks including a wonderful big David Eden system that I thought I would never part with. The bottom line is that Tech 21 has done the impossible. They have created a DI box voiced in such a way that there is no need for anything else. My primary stage bass is a Warwick Thumb- neck through. I have tried other basses with this box and they all sound great. You don't really need to have a $3000 bass to bring out the magic in this thing. I run it direct out via lo-z with nothing else. Feed some of it into my wedge or in-ears and I have the sound of my Eden rig except it is better and much quieter. I'm happy, the sound guys are happy and the star singer is very happy since she has good bottom end without the big rig up on stage and lots of hiss. Buy it!!!
