The electronics on this bass are the best I have heard, and I know. I have played most of the highend basses and because of one item or another they just didn't sound like the Tobias. The bass I purchased had the upgraded 18volt electronics, and like I said before "WOW". You can dail in the output level that you desire and the tone controls boost up to 16db. Also there is a push/pull volume switch that boosts the highs and lows and cuts the mids for a killer slap sound. (If you have ever played the Growler, you know what I mean) I guess the Growler was some kind of pilot project for Tobias and the new electronics because they are pretty similar, however with better the better pickups it sounds much better.
Now, on to the construction. This bass is built exactly for me, or that is the way it feels. Its neck is contoured to the hand and it feels great and effortless to play. the slightest pressure on a string rings out in a wonderful tone that is unmatched and it lends itself to any style that you play (no adjustments necessary). This is a great bass, and is highly endorse by me. QT
I Play Gospel music, which lends itself mostly to a slap style, and I play through an EDEN WT800 and D410XLT
This is the sound I have alway looked for...
