This bass has been great so far. Super clarity on B string, and very even response everywhere else. Active eq is VERY ACTIVE and will produce a wide range of tones, but this bass actually sounds best in passive mode, to my ears. Very comfortable neck, balance is ok, a little neck-heavy, but this is common in 6 strings I've tried. Looks incredibly good onstage, and gets lots of attention. I did have a problem at first with radio reception, but I returned it to the factory and was fixed immediately. There was a short run of these basses with faulty shielding, evidently. I got mine for much less than retail...about 40% off, and am really happy with value.
