Ok,first of all,i just got this bass lastnight from the shipper. So im not sure if my opinion will change. im amazed by HOW GOOD the finish job and the appearence of the bass is.it looks great.except for the screw holes all in the body.where the pickgaurd once was.i guess the former owner was a Jaco nut and wanted it to look like a jaco bas(its sunburst and now with no pick gaurd).im not much into jaco though(UH OH .i know oure gonna kill me now)

it came with a godin neck(not the tokai one) and a badass.i dont know what the P-Us are.original or what.they sound GOOD though for a crappy company (Supposedly)

I have owned alot of basses and played alot.ive owned and played everything from a SQUIER (YUCK!!) p-special, to an old fender jazz,,a fender jp-90,an epiphone ripper, a gibsion grabber,to a rickenbacker 4001. ive owned the squier, epiphone ripper, and i still own the rickenbacker 1978 4001. this bass is better than alot of them.not the rick though,or the old fender jazz.ALTHOUGH i do prefer the sound of this bass over my rick.this came witha badass bridge.so im sure that made this bass sound better than it first did.i dont like the bright sound of the rick as much as the high attack power sound of the jazz bass.this bass also has more bottom end. check out my review of the rick if youre interested.i also got the tokai jazz because i needed a bass i could tour with and gig with alot.i wasnt too keen on dragging my rickenbacker out and just letting it take alot of abuse or getting stolen. my only complaint about the bass is the action is (ALITTLE) high off the body.making it kinda hard to play with your fingers.if you play with a pick though, its ok.you can get a hell of an attack with this action and a pick.it sounds great.i also have NOT tried to adjust the saddles yet on the badass bridge to fix this action problem.so this may just be easily fixable.i also may just be too used to the super low action of my rickenbacker.which i have never seen in any other bass .

overall im SUPER impressed by this bass.i say get one if you see an old one.DONT get the newer ones.i heard theyre terrible. i love how this bass sounds so far.i play iot at home more than any other bass i own so far.a real work horse type bass. i also cant believe i paid $300 for this bass(25 $shipping) when it has another type of neck installed on it and a BADASS BRIDGE GREAT DEAL!!
