This pre-amp is a rather expensive unit to buy new, but can be found for a cheap price. The unit lights up a few of the inputs and knobs on the front, giving it a green 'Trace style' glow. The unit is bulit like a tank and works very effectively. The pre-shape button is quite impressive for those who like a low thud sound. An overall good unit, a little lower volumed because of the 'control' trace has put into it. Have you heard a pre-amp that has a dial for instrument volume and total output volume, not including the active/passive pad? Worth looking into if your enjoy the "Trace" sound.
