This is the easiest playing bass I've ever picked up. Treker uses a "floating neck" with a truss rod of cold rolled steel. Since this takes all the stress of the neck and puts it on the truss rod, the neck wood doesn't do anything but hold the frets on. So, the neck is really thin and fast. The body is comfy and overall it's really light. The active electronics are pretty good, I haven't played enough actives to have a good frame of reference.
It sounds like a Jazz bass. I don't do much slapping, but the bass is really engineered to be slap happy. Overall, this is a great value on a bass. You can pick them up used for not much since no one has heard of them. One of my best purchases, and I've done a lot of dogs.
