This bass is the finest example of craftmanship at an unbelievable price. The range of tones is very broad, the semi hollow body gives it a warm sound with great sustain like a rock hard maple body but this bass is so light (one of my main criteria). The output from the 18v preamp is very good. The fret work is impeccable. No feedback unless you position the bass just inches from the speaker. I compared the Turner to the Carvin AB40. No contest - playability, tone, weight, workmanship all to the Turner. A couple of nits - non adjustable bridge so there is no way to adjust the intonation, past the 12th fret things go a little sharp. Trust rod was loose and rattled. The strap button towards the neck is intergal with one of the neck bolts so substituting straplocks for this button will not work. You'd have to drill a hole to add. The good news is the strap buttons head is rather large. I'll try using this bass without straplocks until I drop it rather than put a hole in it.

The good news, got a problem or question, Call Turner and speak to Rick. He answers the phone! Comments on the looks are either it's beatiful or ugly. There does not seem to be an in between on this. I fond it drop dead gorgeous.
