I bought this bass as a backup to my Hohner B bass and have regreted
that purchase to this day. All I can really say is that this thing is
a piece of particle board poppey cock. Where do I start, the best
sound I have coerced from this future firewood bass has been that
resembling two pieces of cardboard being rubbed together. the pickups
also emit a strange hum that would scare small children like a fat man
covered in tar wielding a rubber chicken. When I wrote to vantage
regarding the poor tone they responded with the advice that a
particular run of vantage basses at their Korean factory had been
recalled about a year ago and that my bass should not even be
available. However they ever so regretfully stated that they could
not refund my money because I was not the original owner. In fact
when I mentioned I had bought it for 92 dollars they were insulted. I
now fear this bass will end up in the hands of those who know no
better so stay away from this model! And have you ever heard of a
bass only having 18 frets? What the hell were they thinking. I may
be a novice bassist but I can still tell a Donkey Terd from a bronze
banana.
