First off you have to see this bass.. I call it the "painted black bass".. everything (except the tiny red omega symbols on the pickups, and the white on side dot inlays,a plastic ruby-like jewel on the back and my shiny flatwound strings) is completely black! This bass is pretty good, I've heard some bad reviews on vantage gear but this bass isn't bad. The neck is real comfortable and fast, has one truss rod, I've lowered the action on this bass to near air-tight ;) Great feel, really balanced weight, sounds good, my tone knob buzzes probably because the original owner had a little on-stage misshap; the output jack got torn right out with the patch but he fixed it. The selector switch is nice for getting a slightly thumpier, percussive tone. The 2 types of pickups give me more variety than your average fretless fender jazz bass. Pretty sweet bass all in all.. got more than what I paid for. Oh, did I mention it's completely black??
