This bass looks great! The flame koa top is fantastic. Everything is made very well though I had to wait 2 months and a half from the order date to have it.
Woods are first quality and the best thing this bass has is a gecko inlay on the fingerboard. The inlay is made of Bele, an exotic wood that is quite similar to Zebrawood.
The low B is the best sounding B I've ever tried. It's very tight and has a lot of punch.
This bass isn't heavy at all and has a great balance. The neck is perfect with no dead spots and also very confortable. Basslines Active Soapbars are great with a clear sound, spacing from Jaco's one to more modern sounds. The bridge is a Khaler (very good in my opinion). The hardware is chrome.
Unfortunately, at Warmoth they don't built it all up. They will send you all the pieces and then you have to build it.
Anyway, in my opinion, Warmoth basses are unique both for price and for construction, because probably if this bass had been made by a famous luthier (Smith, Sadowsky, Tobias) it'd have cost at least $2000 more.
