The hardware and electronics is completely up to the purchaser, so I won't comment on them.
I do, however, love the acoustic sound and playability of this Warmoth bass. The neck (a "wide" 5 model, not in their current catalog) plays great and sounds real solid, with no dead spots. (Man, am I ready for that!) The body looks beautiful, and is perfectly mated to the neck.
A few minor issues. The bass is slightly neck-heavy, and the upper fret access is pretty lousy. Overall, it weights a lot. These things don't bother me too much, though. I bought this bass to groove on, and I find that the wide string spacing and overall heftiness of the instrument make me play more in the pocket than on previous instruments. It's hard to describe, but I love it.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the quality and sound of my Warmoth neck & body.
