For a minimalist like me, this unit is great. All I realy need is a compressor and tuner with a mute function, and this unit fills the bill adequately. I don't really use a lot of the other effects, except for WAH. If you buy this unit, SCRAP THE PRESETS!!! They are noisy and useless. For some STUPID reason, the guys at Zoom thought it would be really cool to add delay and reverb to the patches, and it sounds like sh*t. The sheer boomines will drive you effin' crazy!!!

My most favored patch is one that I've created using nothing more than the compressor and the "Fat" tone setting. The other utlizes a wah effect, and nothing else. For both patches, I have the ZNR (Zoom Noise Reduction) set at "5". The "amp simulator" settings are okay, but tend to add a great deal of hiss. It's realy a good deal for the money. Thanks to all the crappy reviews this thing's been getting, one can be had for about $50. The tuner function is awesome, by the way. Simply press both pedals down for 2 seconds, and it goes into tuner mute mode. Any other questions, please feel free to email me.
